It’s a controversial operation but quietly so. While it promotes itself and its workings via the internet, it guards its location closely. Even when you’ve arrived at the lobby of the downtown building where it’s situated – for now at least – only a simple sign marks its presence. White plastic letters on a brown board softly announce: Medical Club of Guelph.

The country’s top court says a convicted marijuana grower won’t lose her house as crime-related property. The Supreme Court of Canada ruled 5-2 that Judy Ann Craig, convicted of growing pot worth more than $100,000 in her Vancouver home, does not have to give up her house.
May 14 2009 - Regulations Amending the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations
Subsection 41(b.1) of the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR) stipulates that no person shall hold more than one licence to produce. On January 10, 2008, the Federal Court, in coming to a decision in Sfetkopoulos, Dora et al v. AG of Canada(Sfetkopoulos), declared that subsection 41(b.1) is invalid on the grounds that it infringes on section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (the Charter).
